I worked for a man, one of his favorite lines was “There’s no such thing as a free lunch.” And, in the case of “free,” you generally get what you pay for. Personal opinion/observation only.

Two contrasting comments: Paul says “Free” is suspect, Rosaliene says fees are. You can’t both be right – why? Because both are generalisations. You need to take each instance and investigate before judging on its merits.
